One of my favourite Greek Fashio designers – Stelios Koudounaris continues with his sensual simplicity signature with the sporty vibe in his Spring/Summer 2015 collection. The concept is based on the vision of a classical Grecian beauty placed in modern times. There are statue-like dresses that envisions the idea of majesty as well as the futuristic elements of see through mosaic. The cascades of materials and sleek design gives the feeling of fluidity and relaxed elegance.

Black -Red – White. Catchy yet classical selection of colors can be found in some fashion tendencies lately. The tri-color palette can be depicted on the face-painting factor as seen on Toni Garn, sporty chic clothing as well as in ad campaigns of Dior from Fall 2013 Campaign. The blonde model – Toni Garn captured by Hunter & Gatti clashes the image of blue-eyed sensitivity with the tribal vibe. The photography merges with the collage of oil painting and stitching style.
The fashion signature of Bianca Popp is formed in theatrical influences and background that highly relates to her career in a theatrical costumography. As the Marangoni Master graduate from Istituto Marangoni Milan she started her own label in 2009. The designer’s passion for costumes pushed her for searching new perspective of style based on complex human behaviour and interactions while staying original and individual according to veracity of oneself. The eponymous label is focused on the adaptation of multiplicity of movement and self-esteem.
The collection for Fall/Winter 2015 season is a structured line that consists of 35 silhouettes that are deisgned in a geometrical twist. The vibe of the collection is kept in ultimate femininity emphasized with the signature knot. The palette of colors is defined by the black base along with the sombre colors consisting of grey, marsala, dark blue and white.
The designer wanted to express the strength and functionality as the main factor of the line with the selected presentation of fabrics such as neoprene, wool, cashmere, jersey tricot and synthetic leather. Playing on the balance of vigor and vulnerability, Bianca Popp craves to depict the group of independent modern women. The garment is pictured as the armor spirit fabric for protection purposes such as inconvenient weather conditions as well as the indication of the poised elegance of female body.
“Black Mirror” by SYLVIO GIARDINA
Art and its artifacts always infuse Sylvio Giardina’s work. In his new creative project, a small, dark,
slightly convex object with a black tinted surface fascinated Sylvio: it was the “Claude mirror”,
which abstracts landscape sceneries, while unifying shapes and lines and blurring details. The new
creative process starts from this vision, where fabrics and shapes blend and colors sway. Black
plays a predominant role in the collection, yet the polished and mirroring fabrics create optical
and vibrant effects, giving way to pure geometric shapes, defined by brown, navy blue and hazel
hues. Some outfits are embellished with Plexiglas necklaces, playing out a double role,
complementing the dress and working as an accessory. Fiercely believing in having fun by letting
ideas run free, Sylvio introduces to the public a mini collection of accessories, made of earrings in
mirroring black Plexiglas and tortoiseshell necklaces.
Fabrics: velvet, multiprene, leather, scuba, jersey, lace, tulle, mesh;
Colors: black, navy blue, mustard, brown, camel, hazel, burgundy.”
