The clash of Grace Kelly timeless style and rebellious charm of Courtney Love is the motto of the Gosia Baczynska outstanding collection for Spring/ Summer 2011. There is a ferocity hidden in the lace layers and classic chic formed with New Look signature. The main intention of the designer was to create something on the verge of oppositions – delicacy of the ladylikeness and wildness of the rock’n’roll vibe. As the result there is a great composition for experimental fashionistas and mature in style and grace women.

Behind the Christian Louboutin
‘s label there is not only luxury red sole signature
hidden, but also imaginative yet chic shoe designs and inspiring ad campaigns. This season Louboutin continues its timeless fusion of fashion and art praising “The Power of Femininity ” by reenacments of the most iconic portraits from the previous centuries. The lookbook is a fashion time machine skillfully captured by Peter Lippmann and styled by Catherine Gorne. The campaign represents the vision of woman through its versatility and uniqueness through the embodiments of historic images merged with present designs of Christian Louboutin.
I have also written about another example of fashion – art fusion in the post “Painted Ladies

NUPTUS – as the latest creation of the prolific arist and couture fashion designer – Sylvio Giardina is the respose for the 3rd edition of LIMITED/UNLIMITED exhibition project, curated by AltaRoma and Silvia Venturini Fendi. This redefinition of bridal gown with unconventional results is composed from expanded polytene and jersey with details in Swarovski crystals. The effect is marvellous depicting a piece of clothing like a tender and soft, cloudy-like construction with sartorial hint. This experimental design is a successful attempt of opposition to the conventional and glossy image of slim and bloodless silhouettes. As a result the tradition is juxtaposed with innovative yet sensual harmony discovering renewed aesthetics of the Sylvio Giardina’s stamp which was mentioned in the post about his autumn / winter 2011 / 2012 collection.

Moonlight – like vibe mixed with volcanic background is a perfect theme for Italian king of glam fashion –Versace. The campaign depicts the key looks of sartorial dark hued elegance accentuated by gold elements with the assists of the most wanted faces – Saskia the Brauw and Sean O’Pry. Despite the fact that I am not the over enthusiast of this fashion house, the campaign mesmerizes with the Mert and Marcus stamp.

Fashion is a field of art where images play crucial role with astonishing power. Fashion is the metaphor of transformation – displaying beauty or ugliness is the most unique way. Fashion is the mystery of metamorphosis whether converting hideous insect into butterfly or vice versa. Tilda proves with her unique androgynous gift that beauty in fashion is the state of mind rather than vanity fair…

Interesting editorial overwhelmed with pure white colour features outstanding tomboy beauty with platinum short haircut. The eye-catching jewellery created by Gabriel Frantzen is an edgy and chunky line resembling gothic heaviness. The simplicity of the pictorial exposes the prominent values of the accessory – vintage glamour.
