Fashion Photography: Qio Hao F/W 2011 Serpens by Matthieu Belin Part I.

Enchantingly futuristic collection of Chinese designer Qio Hau for Fall/Winter 2011 season was artfully captured by the photographer Matthieu Belin. The collection entitled “Serpens” depicts the tribute of the fashion designer to the reptile feature unveiling its phenomenon, fear and fascination mixed all together. Enhanced with the skillful technique of the photgrapher, the ultramodern forms are transfered into a mysterious dimension of fashion allegory. The result of this fruitful collaboration between designer and photographer resulted in a captivating yet peculiar imagery merged with high-fashion silhouettes and great exposure to detail.

  1. Oh wow, this is so futuristic.. so many interesting shapes with the high contrast of black and white. Goes against the conventional “pretty” but fascinating nonetheless, with a hint of mystique. “Serpent” is a good name choice.
